At the end of the rainbow, just ‘yond the shires of shamrocks, is a magical land full of hospitality and boisterous celebration: Ireland. And while not everyone can boast to have the green love running through their veins, on St. Patrick’s Day, everyone wants to be Irish. It is the time of year when everyone can revel in emerald apparel and celebrate in the nearest pub, party or parade.
The luck of the Irish and the fountains of Guinness are hard to resist when dandering by the local pub ‘round March 17. Many prefer to give in to the allure of the pints and proceed to get bolloxed in the name of good old Patrick.
Even the sunny streets in Saint Monica get a little brighter and a lot greener when it is time for this Saintly celebration. And while it may have been hard to find a four-leaf clover, the gatherings over a pint were plentiful this holiday. |
