Antiques at Barker Hangar

A breezy but warm airport parking lot was the

setting of theOutdoor Antique & Collectible Market in Santa Monica last Sunday.
The market, set up at Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar off Bundy, saw collectors and sellers do business. Among the antiques sold were vinyl records, books, and movie posters.
“It’s great,” explains frequent shopper Dave Naho. “Lots of different items and good deals are to be had.”

Heal the Bay Takes the Pain Away

In the early hours of Sunday morning, thousands of Westside runners lunged in preparation of the third annual Santa Monica Classic Run to support Heal the Bay.

Bernard Way was jam packed with runners about to embark on a 5/10 K run through Santa Monica and ending at the Expo being held at the Santa Monica Pier.

This Nike-sponsored event was held the day after Heal the Bay’s beach clean-up and many of the runners showed up to Santa Monica Beach on both days. The runners took off from 2600 Bernard Way and made their way up Main Street and down San Vicente before returning to the pier for refreshments and educational discussions on how to make Santa Monica Bay the pristine locale that people travel to see.
